We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that exists to reclaim counseling for Christ by helping people with and training counselors in Christian therapeutic counseling that is biblically based, clinically informed, and whole-person oriented to each become equipped to build their lives and calling upon the Rock. We believe that the primary need everyone has at their core is spiritual and that only through Christ can this foundational be built upon. Additionally, we are holistic beings with relationships, emotions, personalities, minds, and bodies. These parts of us need to be attended to as well. Therefore, we are whole-person oriented in our approach. We seek to help heal and grow the entire person and their family from the ground up: spiritually, relationally, emotionally, personally, mentally, physically, and eternally. We understand this is a BIG undertaking, but we can’t shy away from the calling God has given to us. We trust that He is equipping the saints and are dedicated to do our part to equip every person and counselor in kind. We serve individuals, couples, and families alike and take our R.O.C.K. Counseling Curriculum to every church that wants to go from called to equipped no matter its size or denomination. Want to be a part of this kingdom reclamation? We are raising up an army of Christian therapeutic counselors across our nation that are ready to serve with compassion, strength, and wisdom. Learn more about our strategic initiatives, register your church to be trained and equipped, become one of our mission-driven donors, or join our team. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for partnering with us in this incredible voyage of Reclaiming Counseling for Christ!
Disrupting Counseling. Counseling is in need of change. Way too many counselors and worse Christian counselors, across America prioritize mental health over spiritual health. This is not right! Yes, mental health is important and we prioritize it accordingly, but never at the stake of spiritual health. A person’s relationship with God is of the utmost importance and then all other things come after this. Furthermore, much of counseling has become dull and bland in its trial to help people. It has become overly dedicated to simply listening or asking questions, rather than advising people in the best way for them to go. Additionally, counseling has become ridden with false ideologies, and the proof is in the pudding. Mental health problems have only increased as the industry has grown. It’s time for a disruption!
Resurrecting Truth. False teachings perpetuate like an epidemic in counseling offices and psychological institutions across our nation and the worst part about it is that most people don’t even realize it. Whether deception is spread intentionally or not it enslaves people all the same. While truth in and of itself is far from dead, too many “Christian” counselors across our nation have hidden it. It’s time for truth in love to reign again throughout our country. Only then will people be able to experience true freedom!
Solidifying Freedom. We want to see every person and family set free from bondage…from the bondage of selfishness, pride, destructive communication, unhealthy relational dynamics, false beliefs, loneliness, addictions, trauma, abuse, and anything else that isn’t God’s best for us. Christ came to testify to the truth and set us free! We exist to be used by Him to do the same and to teach the same for people, families, counselors, and churches everywhere.
A note from our founder
Our Hearts: We long to see brothers, sisters, parents, children, spouses, counselors, churches, and people everywhere heal, grow, and reconcile with God, themselves, and one another. Join us today!
I love this picture of my family and I because it reminds me of how invaluable connection is. At ROCK Counseling Ministries we believe connection is what it’s all about. We need connection to stand together in strength. We need connection to become our true selves. We need connection to be saved! This connection starts with God and then grows from there to family, friends, church and so on. We are all about helping people connect with God, themselves, and others!
This picture also reminds me of how much it took to get to this point. Yes, in part I’m referring to the challenge of getting the kids dressed and in the car, but I’m also referring to the challenges faced in personal life, marriage, parenting, education, church, community, and the list goes on. From my counseling work with people and families for multiple decades now, I know that many of them face all kinds of complex challenges and some of them very extreme. However, I’ve also seen how common many issues can be to people no matter their backgrounds. I’ve been blessed to work with people successfully from around the world, and it amazes me of how many struggles we all have in common. This is why I love what we do at ROCK Counseling Ministries, and if your family is anything like mine, then yours can use all the help it can get. Let’s unify in helping one another and reclaim counseling for Christ!
Our Vision
We exist to reclaim counseling for Christ by disrupting the secular model of wellness perpetuating in mental healthcare and exposing the false ideologies rampant in the field. Instead, we help people, families, counselors and churches move from being called to equipped. We are dedicated to solidifying people and churches to build their lives upon the Rock and want to see counselors everywhere become biblically-based, clinically-informed, and whole-person oriented.
Our Mission
We provide donation-based counseling services to people everywhere, so that all may be helped no matter their financial constraints. We are also raising up an army of Christian Therapeutic Counselors to take back the ground the Enemy has stolen by training counselors to go from being called to equipped with our spiritually integrated and whole-person oriented model of care that seeks to serves people spiritually, relationally, emotionally, personally, mentally, physically, and eternally.
Our Beliefs
We believe that every person and family is uniquely created by God and designed for connection, but this connection has been damaged or lost amongst the confusion and chaos of our secular society, modern age, and false “mental health” ideologies. People need spiritual healing above all and only then they can receive true healing in all other aspects. We know that with help, faith, and hard work, our connection to God, ourselves, and one another can be restored and counseling can come back to its rightful place.
