Equipping the Called
We equip those called to counsel to be biblically based, clinically informed, and whole-person oriented.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit ministry deeply committed to training the called. Our goal is to provide comprehensive preparation, equipping them to serve as biblically-based, clinically-informed, and whole-person oriented counselors.
Whether you see yourself as a biblical, pastoral, licensed, or lay counselor, or if you simply sense God’s leading into this important area, we are here to equip you. Your level of prior formal education or training does not matter; our mission is to develop Integrated Biblical Counselors across the nation who join with God’s Word, Spirit, and creation to be able to counsel the whole-person thoroughly and intricately.
We understand that our culture increasingly speaks a psychological language, and that mental health ideologies have steered many away from foundational truths. To effectively minister to and heal people in the name of Jesus, we believe it is vital to understand the prevailing cultural discourse, much like Jesus did, while consistently and ultimately directing individuals toward the Truth.
Presently, with over 1.2 million mental health providers in America, fewer than 95% of these identify as Christian. It is even more disheartening that many within this latter group practice biblical and spiritual integration in a minimal and often hidden way, while openly promoting mental health ideologies. Those who stand firm in the faith as biblical counselors currently hold a position of less than 1% strong in the totality of American counselors. We hold firmly to the belief that Jesus is the definitive “Wonderful Counselor” (Isaiah 9:6), and that counseling fundamentally belongs within His realm. Although counseling has historically been connected with the Church for thousands of years, it has now been significantly negatively affected by the expansive overreach of “mental healthcare.”
We are convinced that God has a restorative plan, calling members of His Body throughout America to once again embrace the vital role of counseling. This is a call to help those who are hurting with counsel that is genuinely true, loving, wise, and integrated, addressing every facet of their being and prioritizing their spiritual well-being above all else.
Have you been called to counsel? Are you ready to be equipped for this essential work? We invite you to join us and become part of the RECLAMATION!
Reclaiming Counseling for Christ
We Believe Christians Have Been Called to Counsel and Have Been Given Authority Over It
Counseling needs a disruption. Truth needs resurrection. People need solidification. Over time, it appears the counseling field has gradually moved away from its grounding in what we understand to be God’s intentions. From the foundational ideas of figures such as Sigmund Freud and Abraham Maslow to many contemporary practices, there is a perception that society has deviated from a truly holistic understanding of the mind, and that current mental healthcare approaches have not achieved their intended purpose. It seems that core truths have been set aside, at times in favor of methodologies that might offer temporary ease but ultimately distance individuals from God and can adversely affect those around them. This kind of guidance can cultivate dependence, self-centeredness, and isolation, which stands in contrast to the Christian principles of strength through faith, serving others, and our connection within the Body of Christ.
It is our conviction that we should reconsider relativistic perspectives and an over-reliance on simply listening professionally. Moreover, it is prudent to reject the priority given to the mind over the spirit in conventional mental health practices.
Our hope is for a future where counselors are well-prepared to be biblically grounded, informed by clinical understanding, and focused on the well-being of the whole person. These “Clinically-Informed Biblical Counselors” would function not under the restrictions of insurance systems or secular norms, but rather on the firm basis of God’s Word, with the guidance of His Spirit, and in harmony with His created order.
We believe the time is opportune for our nationwide community of Christian brothers and sisters to reclaim counseling for Christ. By empowering individuals to provide authentic healing, strength, and meaningful transformation, we can help people everywhere build their lives upon the Rock.

Equipping the Called as Clinically-Informed Biblical Counselors
SUMMER COURSE STARTS 7/10 – LIVE VIA ZOOM – REGISTER TODAY
Our training course is thoughtfully designed to prepare individuals who have been called to counsel, whether their aspiration is to establish a private practice or to serve within their church community. We provide our comprehensive training through both in-person sessions and online platforms, and all of our instructors are experienced, certified counselors.
In addition to training individuals, we also offer support and guidance to those interested in establishing counseling centers for their church congregations or within their local communities. We hold the conviction that the most significant aspect of becoming a counselor is the recognition and acceptance of God’s calling. While professional credentials such as licenses, registrations, and academic degrees have their place, we believe they are secondary to the fundamental divine call to minister to others through counseling.
If you have experienced a call to counsel, our course is structured to provide the necessary equipping for you to confidently pursue that calling. Our R.O.C.K. Counseling curriculum employs a holistic model of wellness, intending to facilitate transformation, healing, and personal development. This is accomplished by guiding individuals in building their lives on a solid foundation in all essential dimensions: spiritual, relational, emotional, personal, mental, physical, and eternal – a structure we understand as aligning with God’s Hierarchy of Needs.
We invite you to consider how our training course can assist you in responding to your calling to counsel. We encourage you to visit the links below or reach out to us directly to learn more about our course offerings and how we can support you or your church in establishing a counseling ministry.
