Equipping the called through training counseling that is biblically based, clinically informed, and whole-person oriented.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit ministry passionately dedicated to training people called to counsel to be biblically-based, clinically-informed, and whole-person oriented. Whether you are a biblical, pastoral, licensed, or lay counselor with or without formal training, we exist to further equip you as we seek to raise up Clinically-Informed Biblical Counselors all across our country. The language of our culture has been psychologized and mental health ideologies have led too many astray. To help and heal people in Jesus’ name, the church, must be able to speak the language of our culture just as Jesus did, while consistently and ultimately pointing people to the Truth. Presently less than 90% of counselors in America even identify as Christian and sadly most of these practice biblical spiritual integration minimally and covertly, while regularly and overtly perpetuating mental health ideologies. No one but Jesus is the “Wonderful Counselor” (Isaiah 9:6) and counseling is His domain. Counseling has existed in connection with the Church for thousands of years, but it now has been highjacked through the significant overreach of mental health. We know that God has a redemptive plan by calling members of His Body throughout America to once again take up the mantle of counseling to help hurting people with true, loving, wise, and integrated counsel that addresses all aspects of humanity and prioritizes their spiritual needs above all else. Disrupt. Resurrect. Solidify
Counseling needs a disruption. Truth needs resurrection. People need solidification. From Sigmund Freud to Abraham Maslow and then through many others, counseling has been taken off track from God’s intention. Our society has abandoned a sound mind and mental health is not what it claims to be. Truth has been forsaken. In its place are crafty, temporal, and false ideologies that may look and feel “good” in the moment, but lead one far from God and hurt others along the way. Through such counsel people and families have become weak, selfish, and independent, when they are meant to be strong, service-oriented, and connected members of the Body of Christ. Time to say, “Good riddance” to relativism and glorified professional listeners! Let’s say “Goodbye!” to mental health practitioners that prioritize the mind over the spirit. Instead, let’s equip counselors to be biblically-based, clinically-informed, and whole-person oriented. These are Clinically-Informed Biblical Counselors, and they are not bound up in insurance bureaucracy nor beholden to worldly standards but are built on God’s Word, led by His Spirit, and working with His created order. It is time to get out of counseling’s dull, grey, and lifeless walls and into the Light of a new day! It’s time for the Church to reclaim counseling for Christ and empower their counselors to bring true healing and strength to people and families in need, while guiding them on the path to eternal life.

We equip those called to counsel across our nation through in-person and online training, and we help churches establish counseling centers for their congregation and local community. It is God’s calling that matters most when seeking to become or develop as a counselor, not licenses, registrations, or degrees. If you’ve been called by God to counsel, then now all you need is to be equipped! Our R.O.C.K. Counseling curriculum and wellness model seeks to help people change, heal, and build their lives upon the Rock from their God-given foundation on up: spiritually, relationally, emotionally, personally, mentally, physically, and eternally. This is God’s Hierarchy of Needs!
